Southern Africa dominates green hydrogen jobs this month

This month’s green hydrogen jobs board lists 11 vacancies across Africa. Southern Africa leads, with South Africa posting eight and Namibia one, reinforcing the region’s role as a key green hydrogen hub. North Africa has one vacancy in Egypt, while another role spans the broader African region
Among the top hiring companies, Acciona Energía stands out with three job openings. Other notable employers include Globeleq, GIZ, HDF Energy, Nikkiso Clean Energy and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), signaling a strong mix of private sector, international development and government-backed initiatives fueling job creation.
Technical and project management roles dominate this month’s listings. Key skills include hydrogen system design, electrolysis, engineering, commissioning, quality control, project implementation, environmental impact assessment, stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance.
